Lake level announcement

We have received word from Hidalgo County Irrigation District 6 that they will be lowering the water level in the lake starting Monday, May 9, 2022. The level will be low for one week. Now would be a good time to plan any shore cleaning or repairs to seawall/docks on your property.

We remind you that swimming and boating in Walker Lake is done at your own risk. We have received word from a property owner that a possible alligator, or Gar, has been seen in the lake. Please be careful.
